The Financial Analyst is responsible for assisting the Activation and Account Management teams with tracking project financial performance.   This position provides finance support to the Activation and Account Management teams through the forecasting, monitoring and reporting of client revenue, expenses and profitability.  The position will execute on the day-to-day tasks required to maintain accurate financial records.


Project Accounting

  • Assign project codes, obtain staff allocations, reconcile project expenses, and assist Activation teams with final close-out.
  • Input and maintain budgets in MS Dynamic SL.
  • Follow up with Clients on past due AR.
  • Analyze project P&L’s to assist Activation and Account Management in the controlling of budgets and profitability.
  • Conduct monthly P&L reviews with project team lead and reclass incorrectly coded expenses.
  • Update revenue forecast for sales based programs.
  • Run weekly staff utilization reports for senior management.
  • Calculate and compile semi-monthly commission earning for field staff.
  • Assist with analyzing the revenue recognition.
  • Assist with client audit requests.

Client Invoicing

  • Invoice clients in a timely manner consistent with the negotiated terms of the client agreement and SOW.
  • Invoice client for incremental/billable expenses on a monthly basis.

Contract Compliance

  • Track and verify Activation and Account Management are providing the project authorization from the client (MSA, SOW, and budget)
  • Verify the projects are complying with the terms of the agreement.
  • Verify corporate policy and procedures are being followed.


  • Bachelor degree in finance or accounting.
  • Attention to detail and excellent problem solving skills.
  • Strong communication and analytical skills, and ability to interface with all levels of management.
  • Software application proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite including MS Excel, MS Word, common email systems, and basic networking and database concepts.
  • Understanding of revenue recognition, budgeting and transaction accounting, management financial reporting, generally accepted accounting principles.
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics SL, preferred but not required.
  • Experience with SQL, enterprise data structures, MS Access a plus but not required.
  • Experience in advertising, marketing services, or professional service organizations preferred but not required.
